Ten thousand dollars and twenty-six invented companies. A session runs about three minutes, which is roughly how long a good idea stays good.

None of it is real, deliberately

Every company, ticker, price and headline in this game is fictional. There is no real money anywhere in it, nothing to purchase, and no connection to any market data feed. It is a toy that behaves like a market, not a trainer for an actual one.

Headlines move prices, so reading the news panel is a real edge rather than set dressing.

You can short, and you cannot lever

Buy low and sell high, or short high and cover low. Shorting is in because a market sim where the only verb is buy has one idea in it.

Leverage is out. Borrowed money turns a three-minute session into a coin flip that occasionally deletes your account, and there is nothing to learn from watching that happen. Tools unlock as you complete trades rather than sitting behind a paywall or a level.

Three minutes is the point

A session is short enough that a bad opening does not doom the next twenty minutes, and short enough that you will play another one. Long-form portfolio sims already exist and they are not this.

The compression also changes what a headline is worth. In a game measured in days, news is background. In one measured in minutes, it is most of the signal you get.

How to play

  • Mouse throughout.
  • The objectives panel is the closest thing to a tutorial. Working through it unlocks the rest of the interface.
  • Positions and the summary screen are where a session actually gets judged. The chart is entertainment.
