New

Bolt parts onto a spinning rotor and send it into the arena, then spend what it earned on a better one. The shop is the actual game — every run is a question about which upgrade compounds fastest, and the answer changes as the arena gets meaner.

A rotor sits in the middle of a pit and throws or grinds whatever walks toward it. You spend what they drop on making it worse to be near.

A wave is watched, not played

There is no input during a fight. The machine spins, bodies arrive, and Overdrive fires itself off charge earned from damage dealt. If that sounds like it is playing itself, it is, and that is the point: everything you actually decide happens between waves.

The shop draws three of the eight upgrades, redrawn every wave, and shows you the next wave's exact composition with a projected damage figure. What you get offered is half the run.

Two ways to kill something, and the tree argues about it

You can grind a thing down inside the sweep or throw it into the rim wall. Mass decides which is even available. A Mote launches; a Lodestone has to be worn down, and wearing things down is what costs you Integrity.

The upgrade tree spends its whole length on that argument. Sixteen parts across five mounting points, offered two at a time every third wave. Half are stat trades with something given up. The other half change a rule outright: every fourth contact hits for triple, wall survivors ricochet back into the blades, wall kills heal you, the rotor winds up across a wave, hits land at half and bleed the rest.

Repair is never part of the draft

Repair sits outside the shuffle, available once per stop. Plating raises the ceiling and repair tops you up. A machine that cannot heal because the shuffle withheld one card is losing to the dice rather than to a decision, and that is not a run worth having.

How to play

  • Mouse only. Everything happens in the shop between waves.
  • A run ends when Integrity hits zero. You keep your Cogs, which buy permanent upgrades in the Workshop that carry into every future run.
  • AUTO plays the shop for you if you would rather leave it running.
