Creators publish their own games on KaoGames, and every one of them confirms they own or have permission to use everything in their game. If a game here copies your work anyway, tell us and we will take it down.

Something else wrong with a game, like broken or inappropriate content? Use the Report button on the game instead.

Your notice, including your name and contact details, may be passed to the creator so they can respond. Sending a notice you know is false can make you liable for damages.

What happens next

• A person reads every notice. When it is complete, we take the game down promptly: it leaves the site and its files stop loading.
• We tell the creator why, and the takedown counts as a strike against their account.
• If the creator believes it was a mistake, they can send a counter-notice (below). We pass it to you, and unless you tell us within 10 business days that you have filed a court action to stop the infringement, we may put the game back 10 to 14 business days after we receive it.

Repeat infringers

Each game taken down for copyright, or for breaking the other publishing rules, is a strike. An account with 3 strikes can no longer publish, and its games may be removed. A strike is lifted if the takedown is reversed.

Counter-notice: for creators

If one of your games was taken down and you believe that was a mistake, because you own the work or have permission to use it, you can ask for it back. Only send this if it is true: it is a statement under penalty of perjury, and it goes to the person who filed the notice, who may take you to court.
